This course is concerned with urbanization trends in the global context in general and Ugandan context in particular. It also highlights the challenges of urban management in the contemporary urbanizing world, planning, laws relating to physical planning and the roles of various stake holders in urban planning and management

The aim of this course is to equipping members of the Municipal Development Forum with the knowledge and skills necessary for efficient and effective urban planning and management. Therefore, an understanding of this course will enhance the capacity of different stake holders in urban planning and management for development of future urban centres or cities.
