Course description

This course exposes Municipal Development Forum members on significant issues on Revenue Mobilization in the local government. The issues ranges from sources of revenue, legal provisions, practices involved in revenue collection, the roles of various stake holders in revenue mobilization, management and accountability.

The purpose of this training therefore, is to equip and expose personnel in the local government (Municipal Council) with the knowledge and skills necessary in Revenue Mobilization so that they can play their roles and responsibilities effectively.

It is expected that the understanding of this course will contribute to the financial independent of the local government, sustainability and capacity to meet the development needs of municipalities or local council.
