Course description
Welcome to the gender issues in the local government where you will be exposed to various concepts concerning gender in the local government. In this course the content focus on women, youth and children. It also highlight on the aspects of legal and policy framework for gender, institutional framework, role of Councilors and technical officers in promoting gender issues in the local government. Participant will also be able to discover the Setup of Women in the Councils and the establishment of youth councils at different levels in the government.

The aim of this course therefore is to make participants become more aware of mainstreaming gender issues in local governments.
